But I'll never survive the veggie apocalypse! Once, I begged my Mom for a cat, but I left the back door open one day, and... and it ran away! And then I begged her for a hamster, and I forgot to feed it for, like, a month! So then... then she said that maybe I could have a plant, so she got me this itty-bitty fern in this cute little yellow pot, and [starting to cry] I forgot to wa... wa-ha-ha... water it! Well, WHAT IF I FORGET TO WATER MYSELF?!

This cartoon has hilarious wtf moments but this one I'm cackling the hardest XD Love Harley.

(also from now on i will use my own local age rating, because i'm tired to look up the foreign ones lmao)

Yes, she could use the Force. When she felt confident and controlled, she could master everything Fulier had taught her; but those days could be few and far between. She wrestled with a temper unbefitting a Jedi. She watched those with serene acceptance of the Force and envied their certainty. She wondered why Jedi blood had bothered to manifest itself in someone who was so fallible.

Description about Etain. I think Etain lacks a purpose other than not become a failure, which is already tainted with fear and uncertainty. Having a temper could mean, she is frustrated with herself a lot. Angry.

In this scene Etain also confronts Jinart that she is not who she looks like, and immediately assumes that if she is not a Jedi (not part of the Jedi Order?) than a Force User who turned to the Dark Side. I like this detail. The close mindedness of the Jedi. Either someone is a Jedi or a Dark Side user. Etain doesn't consider there are other options or other beings who use the Force outside of the Order.

She felt the same authority as she had in the presence of Fulier, except that he exhibited peaks and troughs of the Force, while Jinart projected an infinite steadiness.
She was certainty. Etain envied certainty.
Also this. Etain envies the state of mind what she lacks. Safety. Stability. Sense of self.

And then here is Ganyu's quest. We are solving tax-frauds with a demigods. I love this game.

I love how it also touches the topic, how people are distrustful toward the Fatui after they nearly destroyed the entire city, so even the most innocent thing (like wanting to pick a berry in a village) now causes a disturbance and gives a reason for suspicion.

[GENSHIN IMPACT] Fatui

Genshin is really great at doing morally grey and complex stories, but sometimes... welll... it's not satisfying. XDD

Decided to finish the character quests in Genshin, because I'm so behind with those. Childe's character quest is the proof that putting a child into the center of the plot make established badass characters worse.

KhmhkhmmTheBadBatchkhmmhhkhhmmm.

He is a soldier in a foreign country making other people's life worse, while also a loving his own little brother and family is everything for him, it can coexist. But making him a major dork while at it... idk. It felt weird. I don't think they really knew what they wanted to do with Childe at this point of the story. He is a psycho, he is a rich kid sugar daddy to Zhongli, he is loyal soldier but also feeling shame about this servitude, a loving overprotective brother who will make a dumbass of himself in front of his subordinates to protect his secret in front of his little brother...

I wonder if this "but he loves his brother!!!" is a way to make player symphatetic toward him? That he is just a guy like everyone else?

But as the story goes, it really turns toward the narrative that these Fatui guys are not actually bad guys. Despite being a Military organization. Despite using diplomatic-guise for coercion and debt collection. And aggressively spreading the Tsaritsa's vision. And Human experimentations. And intimidating locals into submission. And stealing artifacts. And sacrificing civilians for "greater good". And--

EDIT:
so yeah my problem is that Genshin villains are often not commited to being a villains, or at least the ones you get to play as well.

Tartaglia (Childe) was the first villain and he was so badass during the whole Liyue storyline. Until he became a playable character.
Signora? Sexy smart villain. Dead.
Scaramouche? He was interesting angry potato, and as soon as he became playable, he became... idk. I guess Nahida truly tamed him.
Arlecchino being an ally because she didn't want her homeland to be drowned, also being a playable character, and now she is showing more and more soft side. But also it turned out this wasn't even her homeland to begin with.
Capitano? Him being an ally and "loving his land" was made sense, but yeah, dead.
Il Dottore? Megalomaniac intellectual. Absolute fav. Dead. Possibly.
Columbina... I'm biased toward her because she was relatable for me XD But I heard that her story got a massive rewrite too? She became a playable character, and friendship saved her and the whole day. She wasn't even a villain but she used her past connections to the Fatui to help us,
which makes Sandrone also an ally. Who is dead. Sacrificed herself.

So my point is that the enemy is more like now completely the Abyss, and not a Snow-Queen-gone-insane like how I expected. Ehh... given the recent Genshin theories where the story is heading, it make sense, but I don't know if i like it. I need to time to get used to it. XD

Please... don't make Tsaritsa being a playable character XDD Let her remain interesting. But given she is an archon, she will be a playable character...

EDIT EDIT:
So look at this way:
Tartaglia --> HE WAS the villain of the Liyue arc and boss fight.
Signora --> She did trouble in Mondstadt, she caused trouble in Liyue and she was the bossfight of the Inazuma arc and died.
Scaramouche -> Villain of the Inazuma and Sumeru arc -> Reformed. But he was the main boss.
Arlecchino -> she WASN'T the enemy of the Fontaine arc. It was the bigass whale from Tartaglia's dreams and a prophecy.
Capitano -> He WASN'T the enemy of the Natlan arc -> Sacrificed himself to save Natlan. The main enemy was some bigass Dragon i totally forget its significance.
Il Dottore -> He was mentioned in several arc, appeared in Sumeru as villain, and main villain after Rerir and boss fight of Nod-Krai. Possibly dead.
Columbina -> She wasn't assigned to any nation, so she never got any affairs to meddle with. So while she had potential introduction as a villain first, in Nod-Krai it was erased completely.
Sandrone - Her fortress and Pulonia was briefly playable. She wasn't a bossfight. She was a major ally and sacrificed herself.

Fi walked ahead on point.

“I haven’t fired a shot yet,” he said.

“On this sort of mission, the fewer the better,” Atin said.

Niner took it as a sign that Atin was joining in. His tone wasn’t as defensive. Regular people said they couldn’t tell the difference between one clone and another, did they? That was what came of spending too much time looking at faces and not enough wondering what shaped people and went on inside their heads.

Niner notices that Atin is starting to warm up. Also I wonder if these "regular people" were the instructors or the Kaminoans Niner is thinking about.

Atin appeared, a jumble of circuitry and wires in one hand. “Looks like the tinnies have shown up to take over. But why shoot them?”

“Tinnies?” Fi said.

“What did your squad call them?”

“Droids.”

“You okay?”

“My bladder’s a bit full, but fine otherwise.”
(...)
They’ve got reinforcements, he thought. They look like a different problem altogether.
And they were, but not for him this time. The reinforcement droids raised their integral blasters without warning and simply opened fire into the group of militia. They fired a few bolts in an orderly manner and then waited, looking down at their victims as if checking. The Umbaran—commissioned officer or sergeant?—stepped forward and fired another blast at close range into a Weequay. Apparently satisfied that their job was done, they gathered up the group’s assortment of blasters and sidearms, searched the bodies for something—ID, Niner suspected—and marched calmly away, back down their approach route.

Niner heard Fi exhale at the same time he did.

“Well,” Fi said. “You can empty your bladder now, I suppose.”

*snort* I just had to complain that Fi doesn't have one liners here. :D Ghez Hokan is delivering his promise with testing Uthan's droids on his militia.

I mentioned that I so want to jump into Triple Zero for the Null posts, but also I want to stay here and finish this project because of Etain. Because to understand Kal Skirata in Triple Zero, we also have to understand Etain too, for Etain is the mirror of Kal Skirata.

But also, this is bit of a longshot theory, but what if Etain's longing for a family was actually Jinart's fault, due to tampering with her mind when she wanted Etain to stay put? That Jinart projected into her mind that she can find comfort in a family, even in this one. So she shouldn't run away from this safe place until it's time. I need to pay attention for her thoughts regarding her past memories or what she actually thinks about family.

“Would you like to know what virus we’re developing here, Major Hokan?” Uthan asked.

So he had a real rank now, not the flatteringly extravagant General. “Do I need to?”

“I think so. You see, it’s specifically for the clones.”

“Let me see. To make them proper men again?”

“Nothing can do that. This is to kill them.”

Hokan replaced his helmet carefully.

“The kindest solution,” he said, and meant it.
I really want to see into this man’s head. He finds the existence of the clones a disgrace to the Mandalorian culture, and what Mandalorians stand for, but also thinking that mass-killing them is mercy because the life they have currently is not a life of a warrior. Hokan thinks that being dead is better than… this. Hokan really have some twisted sense of honor.

If she had spat in his face, he couldn’t have been more appalled. He knew she was aware of what would enrage him; she used the emotional term warrior, not bounty hunter. She knew how much the revelation would offend his cultural pride. But she was right to tell him. It was a matter of honor, and more than his own. He would not see his heritage used in this travesty of honest war.
“I’d take the contract even if you didn’t pay me,” he said.

I am on my knees before Uthan. It was enough to mention Jango Fett, and Hokan is now eating from her hands. She knows how to manipulate him. Daaaammmmmn I love her so much. She is just as ruthless bastard as Hokan, just on the different spectrum.

Hokan knows how Uthan played him, so now he wants to intimidate her in his own subtle way too. Did I mention how I adore their dynamic???

“I think layoff notices might be in order. Perhaps your troops might start by helping me with the administration of that.”
Uthan blinked for a second, and Hokan realized she had taken longer than usual to understand what he meant. She’d grasped the meaning: I can be as ruthless as you. She’d think twice before undermining him as she was undermining Ankkit.

I used to prepare pipe for my husband. It was the morphine he took for the wounds he suffered in his heart. He would rage and he would cry, my lost soldier. And I said to him, there are two of you. Don't you see? One that kills and one that loves. And he said to me I don't know whether I'm an animal or a god. But you are both. You want more? All that matters is that you're alive. You are alive, Captain. That's the truth. There are two of you, don't you see? One that kills and one that loves.

Currently watching the Director's cut version of this movie and this quote really stuck with me.

I don't want to see the shit sentiment hardcore Jedi-stans always coming with that Jedi are the therapists of the Universe, ever again.

I mean... if we mean therapists in the worst possible way, then yes, sure they are resembling to therapists. And they shouldn't be near children.

But also I know that particular scene with the Jedi Order testing Anakin Skywalker is disgusting for me, because it reminds me of psychological institutions deliberately trying to coerce out certain behavior and emotions from their patiens and then making look like the thought/emotion was the patient's to begin with. Aaaaaaaaaaa i'm so furious!!!

Now imagine a room full of entirely of mindreaders who they can thank their empathy skills to the Force, and not because they can actually understand what is the other is going through and they are saying shit to a 9 year old boy like: If you miss your mother, you will end up in the Dark Side.

*sigh* I like the Jedi, but I was never fond of the prequel style Jedi Order.

Anyway, don't take my rage seriously. It's just fiction. But sometimes some books/scenes hit so hard, I can't help but get emotional.

By the way, I'm almost at the end of the book, soon finishing it.

Ah, Ankkit wasn’t part of this conversation. Hokan began to understand. And she was laying on the flattery with a trowel. “I’m merely Hokan, a citizen. Let me address your concerns … madam?” He felt suddenly foolish. He had no idea what to call her. “Mistress Uthan?”
